Rating

Shelleven Guest House is a stylish, character-filled Victorian home (built in 1902) and a brilliant base for golfers in Bangor. With 13 tastefully decorated en-suite rooms—some with standout views across Bangor Bay and the Irish Sea—it offers a warm, relaxed atmosphere with plenty of quiet spaces to unwind, from the residents’ lounge to the outdoor patio.

Rooms are finished with comfort in mind: quality sprung orthopaedic/memory foam mattresses with crisp white linen, LED Smart TVs, complimentary filtered water and a fully stocked hot drinks tray, plus those little luxuries that elevate a stay—slippers, dressing gowns, fluffy towels, toiletries, and Bluetooth alarm clocks with USB charging. You’ll also have fast BT Fibre broadband throughout and free private on-site parking.

Start your day with a generous cooked-to-order breakfast featuring hot and cold options, locally sourced where possible and with excellent vegetarian, vegan and dietary-friendly choices. Add in a licensed bar, 24-hour Nespresso in the lounge, and a clear commitment to reducing environmental impact, and Shelleven becomes an easy favourite for a comfortable, well-run golf break.
