Terms & Conditions

18Ireland – Terms & Conditions.

1. Introduction

1.1 These Terms and Conditions, together with your booking confirmation, set out the basis on which you book golf travel arrangements with 18Ireland (“we”, “us”, “our”).

1.2 18Ireland is a company registered in Northern Ireland. Our registered office is: 18Ireland, Forty 8 North Business Centre, Duncrue Street, Belfast BT3 9BJ. Tel: 028 90 028218. Email: hello@18ireland.com. Website: www.18ireland.com.

1.3 We specialise in tailor-made golf travel experiences in Ireland. The services we arrange include accommodation, pre-booked tee times, ground transport within Ireland, hospitality packages, and event tickets where applicable. We do not arrange flights.

1.4 By making a booking with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. General Terms

2.1 Travel Insurance – Adequate travel insurance (including golf equipment and COVID-19 related risks) is a condition of booking.

2.2 Weather & Course Conditions – Refunds for course closures or bad weather are subject to each golf course’s own policies. Temporary greens, trolley/buggy bans, or slow play do not qualify for refunds.

2.3 Behaviour – You and your group must act responsibly. We and our Suppliers reserve the right to terminate services without refund if behaviour causes disturbance, safety concerns, or damage.

2.4 Complaints – Issues should be reported immediately to the Supplier and to 18Ireland to allow resolution. If unresolved, complaints must be submitted in writing within 28 days of return to hello@18ireland.com.

2.5 Liability – Our liability is limited to direct losses caused by our negligence. We are not liable for matters outside our control (e.g. weather, strikes, Supplier failure, government restrictions).

2.6 Law & Jurisdiction – These Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of Northern Ireland. The courts of Northern Ireland shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes.

3. Hotel & Golf Bookings

3.1 We arrange hotel accommodation and golf bookings with carefully selected partners (“Suppliers”). Your contract for accommodation and golf is with the relevant Supplier. We act as your booking agent unless expressly stated otherwise.

3.2 Information about hotels and golf courses is provided in good faith. Facilities, services, and course conditions may change (e.g. due to maintenance, weather, or operational decisions). We cannot be held responsible for such changes.

3.3 We will use all reasonable efforts to secure requested tee times. Golf courses reserve the right to alter times, require proof of handicap, enforce dress codes, or group players together.

3.4 Extras such as meals, drinks, spa treatments, and incidental charges are payable directly to the hotel or supplier.

4. Golf-Only Bookings

4.1 Golf-only bookings consist of pre-arranged tee times at one or more courses without accommodation or other services.

4.2 All tee times are subject to availability at the time of booking. Courses reserve the right to amend confirmed tee times, introduce course restrictions, or require proof of handicap or appropriate dress codes.

4.3 Certain green fees are payable in full at the time of booking, while others may only require a deposit. The applicable payment terms will be specified at the time of booking. All payments and deposits are non-refundable unless the course cancels the tee time and authorises a refund.

4.4 Weather disruptions are subject to each golf course’s bad weather policy. Refunds or vouchers are at the discretion of the course and cannot be guaranteed by 18Ireland.

4.5 Additional charges (e.g. caddies, buggy hire, practice facilities) are not included unless specified and must be paid directly to the golf course unless pre-booked through 18Ireland.

5. Tailored Golf Packages

5.1 A “Package” means two or more services booked together through 18Ireland (e.g. accommodation, golf at multiple courses, ground transport, or hospitality).

5.2 Flights, travel insurance, and visas are not included and must be arranged independently.

5.3 We will pass on any reasonable special requests (e.g. room type, dietary requirements) to Suppliers, but we cannot guarantee these will be met.

5.4 If you or any member of your group has a medical condition, disability, or reduced mobility, you must inform us before booking so we can confirm suitability.

6. Pricing & Payment

6.1 A non-refundable deposit (amount advised at the time of booking) is required to secure your trip.

6.2 Final balances are due 8 weeks before travel.

6.3 Bookings made within 8 weeks of travel must be paid in full at the time of booking.

6.4 Prices may change due to currency fluctuations, Supplier costs, or government taxes. The confirmed price will be stated in your booking confirmation.

7. Changes & Cancellations

7.1 Changes by You – We will attempt to accommodate requests for changes (e.g. tee times, room upgrades, transfers). An administration fee may apply in addition to any Supplier charges.

7.2 Cancellations by You – Deposits are non-refundable once paid. In the event of cancellation more than 8 weeks prior to travel, only the deposit will be retained. For cancellations made between 8 and 6 weeks before travel, 50% of the total trip cost will be payable. Cancellations made within 6 weeks of travel will incur a charge of 100% of the total trip cost.

7.3 Changes or Cancellations by Suppliers – If a Supplier cancels or alters your booking (e.g. course closure, hotel overbooking), we will seek suitable alternatives. Refunds are limited to monies recoverable from Suppliers.

7.4 Force Majeure – 18Ireland shall not be liable for any failure to perform, or delay in performing, any of its obligations under these terms and conditions where such failure or delay is caused by events, circumstances, or causes beyond its reasonable control. Such events shall include, but are not limited to, acts of God, natural disasters, severe or adverse weather conditions, fire, flood, war, terrorism, civil unrest, industrial disputes, epidemic or pandemic, governmental restrictions, cancellations or closure of golf courses, or the failure or insolvency of accommodation, transport, or other third party suppliers.

In the event that a Force Majeure occurrence prevents or significantly impacts the delivery of a tour, 18Ireland shall use all reasonable endeavours to reschedule, amend, or rearrange the affective booking. Where rescheduling is not possible, 18Ireland may, at its sole discretion, offer a refund or credit, subject to the refund or cancellation policies of its suppliers.

18Ireland shall not be liable for any additional expenses, consequential losses, or compensation arising from any delay, alteration, or cancellation resulting from a Force Majeure event.

8. Transfers

8.1 Transfers may include private drivers, luxury vehicles, or group transport arranged by 18Ireland or our trusted partners.

8.2 All transfer times are approximate and may vary due to traffic, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. 18Ireland is not responsible for delays outside our control.

8.3 Luggage and golf equipment are carried at your own risk. Any loss, theft, or damage should be claimed under your travel insurance.

8.4 The lead passenger must ensure that the group is ready at the scheduled collection time. No refund will be provided if transfers are missed due to lateness.

8.5 If a transfer service is cancelled by the supplier, 18Ireland will seek to arrange an alternative at no additional cost, subject to availability.

8.6 Special requests (e.g. child seats, additional stops) must be made at the time of booking and may incur additional charges.

9. Golf Club and Golf Shoe Hire

9.1 Golf clubs and golf shoes may be supplied either directly by 18Ireland or by third-party suppliers (“Hire Suppliers”). Where equipment is supplied by a Hire Supplier, your contract for the provision of such equipment will be with that Hire Supplier.

9.2 All hire equipment is subject to availability at the time of booking. Early booking is strongly recommended to secure availability.

9.3 A security deposit or credit card guarantee may be required at the time of collection. You are responsible for ensuring compliance with any such requirements.

9.4 Equipment must be returned in the same condition in which it was provided, subject to fair wear and tear. You will be liable for any loss, theft, or damage to the equipment during the hire period, whether supplied by 18Ireland or a Hire Supplier.

9.5 Hire charges are payable in full at the time of booking and are non-refundable unless the equipment cannot be provided by 18Ireland or the relevant Hire Supplier.

9.6 Golf shoes must be worn in accordance with each golf club’s rules (for example, soft spikes may be mandatory). It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with these requirements.

9.7 Neither 18Ireland nor any Hire Supplier shall be liable for injury, damage, or inconvenience caused by the improper use of hire equipment.

10. 18Ireland Shop Purchases

10.1 Purchases made through the 18Ireland Shop (“Shop Purchases”) may include golf apparel, accessories, equipment, memorabilia, or other items offered for sale by 18Ireland.

10.2 All Shop Purchases are subject to availability. We reserve the right to withdraw or amend items at any time without notice.

10.3 Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges may apply and will be confirmed at the time of purchase.

10.4 Payment must be made in full at the time of purchase. We accept major debit and credit cards and other payment methods as advertised.

10.5 Delivery times are estimates only. 18Ireland is not liable for delays caused by third-party couriers or factors beyond our control.

10.6 You have the right to cancel a Shop Purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. To cancel, you must notify us in writing at hello@18ireland.com. Returned items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in a re-saleable condition.

10.7 Items which are customised, personalised, or made to order cannot be returned unless defective.

10.8 Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Ownership passes only once we receive payment in full.

10.9 If an item is faulty, please contact us immediately. Your statutory rights under consumer law are not affected.

11. Stay & Play

11.1 “Stay & Play” bookings consist of accommodation combined with pre-arranged tee times at the same property or within its directly affiliated facilities.

11.2 Your contract for accommodation and golf in a Stay & Play booking may be with 18Ireland or with the relevant Supplier, depending on the arrangements specified in your booking confirmation.

11.3 Tee times and accommodation are offered as a combined package. If either element is amended or cancelled by the Supplier (e.g. hotel overbooking or course maintenance), 18Ireland will seek to provide alternative arrangements of equivalent value.

11.4 All extras not expressly included in the Stay & Play package (such as meals, buggy hire, spa treatments, or additional rounds) must be paid for directly with the hotel or course unless pre-booked through 18Ireland.

11.5 Course conditions and playability remain at the discretion of the host course. Refunds or vouchers for golf elements are subject to the host’s bad weather and cancellation policies.

12. Cluster Golf

12.1 “Cluster Golf” bookings consist of multiple tee times arranged across a group of courses in the same region, often under reciprocal agreements between those clubs.

12.2 Each course reserves the right to manage tee times, playing conditions, dress codes, and handicap requirements independently. It is your responsibility to comply with each course’s rules.

12.3 Should one course in a cluster become unavailable (e.g. due to maintenance, a private event, or adverse weather), 18Ireland will use reasonable efforts to secure a comparable replacement. Refunds are limited to amounts recoverable from the course in question.

12.4 Travel between cluster courses is your responsibility unless transfers are explicitly included in your booking confirmation.

12.5 Packages involving Cluster Golf are priced based on the combined arrangements. Amendments to individual courses within a cluster may not result in proportional refunds.
